Baby Phat Quilted Chain Faux Fur Hobo

The Find: Baby Phat by Kimora Lee Simmons — and this is the bag that captures everything the brand stood for during its peak. Quilted black satin, a chunky silver chain, faux fur trim around the entire opening, the oversized silver cat logo plaque front and center, studded monogram panels on both sides, and a crystal butterfly charm hanging from the chain. Open it up and there's that signature hot pink satin lining that Kimora made iconic. This is the rare Baby Phat bag that still has every single original detail intact: all studs, the butterfly charm, the chain, the fur. Most surviving pieces from this era are missing at least one element. This one is complete. Baby Phat handbags from the Kimora era are discontinued, not being reproduced, and becoming increasingly collectible as Y2K archive demand continues to accelerate. When it's gone, it's gone.
