Blumarine Silver Metallic Leather Bowler Bag
The Find: Anna Molinari built Blumarine in Carpi on roses, bows, crystal, and the kind of Italian femininity nobody else was brave enough to make. This bag is that idea in silver. A soft foiled lambskin bowler with a hand-knotted leather bow at the shoulder, oversized gold grommets, and the gold script B swinging from a chain of faceted crystal drops. Blumarine's accessories were always a small line next to the runway collections, made in limited Italian runs and barely sold in the States, which is why the bags almost never surface. Blumarine is also the house the entire Y2K revival was built on, and the buyers who found it through the revival are now hunting the 2000s originals. This is one of them, in the colorway everyone is chasing.

Measurements: Approximately 11.5" W x 9.5" H x 5" D. Handle drop to be confirmed, message for the exact figure.
Condition: Very good vintage. The base and lower corners show light soiling and darkening from use, most visible on the bottom panel. Fine crackle runs through the metallic foil across the body and handles, which is how this leather ages and is even throughout rather than concentrated. A few faint marks on the front panel near the seam. Interior twill is clean with light shadowing at the base. Zipper runs smoothly, grommets are bright, charm and all crystal drops are intact and attached.
Authenticity: Guaranteed authentic Blumarine.
