I personally cross-referenced this piece against on-set photography from filming to confirm the exact match. Same silhouette, same hardware, same proportions Hathaway carries on screen.

This one is the original. December 1994. Made in the United States from glove-tanned leather, the way Coach built bags before production moved overseas. Solid brass turn-lock. Original Coach hang tag still attached on the ball chain.

The Metropolitan first launched in 1987. Almost forty years later, the most-watched magazine assistant in cinema is carrying it through New York again.
